It’s time for science after hours!

Experience a party atmosphere on all four floors of the Science Center after hours. With no kids around, expect deeper science content, riskier experiments, and party games with your friends. Enjoy relevant science through fun topics like sports, history, space, pop culture, and more. It’s the perfect adults-only night out in Pittsburgh! Valid ID is required for entry.

21+ Night: Mystery at the Museum

Fri., Oct. 13
6–10 pm

It’s a classic whodunnit with a Science Center twist. Gather evidence, question suspects, and solve the mystery of the missing Martian diamond. Trench coat and magnifying glass not required.

21+ Night: Titanic

Fri., Nov. 10
6–10 pm

Embark on a captivating voyage back in time to the era of Titanic, where the poignant stories of real passengers and crew come to life through a meticulously curated collation of authentic artifacts and immersive settings at TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition. Learn how gigantic ships stay afloat, explore the science of sea ice, and immerse yourself in the leisure activities enjoyed by passengers on ocean liners. Your ticket includes TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition, the Science Center’s four floors of permanent exhibitions, live shows, and guest speakers.

21+ Night: Time Machine 

Fri., Dec. 8
6–10 pm

Turn back the clock for the final 21+ Night of 2023! Explore different decades from the 1920s to the 1990s through music and classic science demonstrations. Come dressed in your favorite retro fashions to hit the dance floor with style or relive your childhood field trip with a show in the Buhl Planetarium. From Boomers to Millennials to the oldest of Gen Z, there something for everybody. (Did we forget anyone?)
