Pricing & Tickets

There’s so much to do at Carnegie Science Center! Whether you have just an hour to spend or can plan to stay for the whole day, we have options for everyone.

The Science Center will open 10 am–noon on Wednesdays for vulnerable/at-risk populations only. The museum will reopen to the public noon–5 pm on Wednesdays. Visitor hours Thursday–Monday remain 10 am–5 pm at a limited capacity. The Science Center is closed on Tuesdays.

Upon your arrival, you will be asked if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms, which will be listed on nearby signage. If you or anyone in your party answers “yes” to any of the symptom screening questions, you will be respectfully asked to visit at another time for the safety of all. You and everyone in your group will undergo temperature checks using a touchless thermometer. If a temperature registers 100.4 F/38◦ C or greater, you can request a second temperature check. If both readings show a temperature of 100.4 F/38◦ C or greater or any visitor declines the temperature screen or to wear a face mask, that visitor will be asked to visit at another time.

All tickets will be sold for timed entry every 30 minutes. We recommend arriving as close to your entry time as possible. Our visitor entry flow has changed; look for signs and staff members to assist you with social distancing and redeeming your timed ticket.

We strongly encourage that you purchase your tickets online in advance of arriving – all tickets will be timed reservations to ensure we can maintain limited building capacity while reducing any wait time for our visitors. If you find that your time slot is sold out, a limited number of tickets may be available for on-site purchase at the ticket counter on a first-come, first-served basis. The surcharge for online ticket purchases has been eliminated for a limited time. Please note: Tickets are being sold up to four weeks in advance.

If you must purchase your tickets on site, we ask that you use a credit card or touchless payment method.

For your safety and the safety of those around you, all visitors age 3 years and over are required to wear masks over the nose and mouth. All museum staff and volunteers will be wearing masks, too. Let’s all follow this important CDC Guideline to protect ourselves and each other.

Please note: We reserve the right to require that visitors who do not follow posted safety guidelines or instructions from our staff will be asked to leave the premises. Failure to comply with this policy or rude or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Please see our Visitor Conduct Policy for more information.
