Celebrating Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility

Through commitment and action, Carnegie Museums strives to create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive organizational culture that respects and values differences, celebrates diversity, and creates an environment where all staff and visitors are welcome and encouraged to participate. We will continue to listen and learn from our community and remove barriers to participation in Science Center programs, exhibits, and employment opportunities.

Carnegie Science Center’s internal Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Working Group, comprised of staff members at different levels of the organization and from every department, is dedicated to supporting diversity, promoting inclusion, increasing access, and achieving equity to bring about meaningful and lasting change. The group is led by a newly created department dedicated to IDEA goals. This webpage will evolve as new initiatives, policies, and processes are continuously implemented as a result of this work.
