Internship and Certificate Program
Fall Cohort: October 4, October 11, October 18, and October 25.
10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Did you know that Southwestern Pennsylvania is home to a thriving healthcare industry with hundreds of medical institutions and organizations? Pittsburgh’s medical field is rapidly expanding—and we want YOU to be a part of it!
During program sessions at Carnegie Science Center, explore the many career opportunities in healthcare—from clinical roles and biomedical research to healthcare communications and public health—while building career readiness skills that are valuable in any profession.
Gain real-world insight into the medical field through conversations with healthcare professionals. Participate in hands-on challenges and grow your confidence as an innovative thinker, effective communicator, and skilled problem-solver throughout the internship experience.
Requirements
- Ages 14–18
- Commit to attending all program sessions

- Receive a $100 transportation stipend
- Receive a $600 stipend upon completion of the program
