July 4th: Explosive Science!
Celebrate the Fourth of July with star-spangled science!

Secure the perfect view of Pittsburgh’s Fourth of July fireworks in an explosively fun way and get guaranteed parking in one of the Science Center’s lots. All tickets include a reserved viewing area, a movie and popcorn in The Rangos Giant Cinema, live entertainment, a cash bar, four floors of exhibits, and theater shows.

Can I bring my own chair?
Yes! Bring a chair or blanket and set up starting at 6 pm! The best views will be from a standing position. You can only bring a blanket or lawn chairs to the RiverView Café terrace area and set up as early as 6 pm. For the safety of those with tickets to the 5th Floor Observatory or Point View Hall, blankets will not be permitted in these areas.
What do we do if it rains?
This event will happen rain or shine.
It says parking is included, but where will we park?
Parking is included and guaranteed for advanced reservations. Guests who do not have advanced reservations will be subject to the event rate. If you are attending the event, parking may be in any one of our three lots onsite. For more information on parking, please visit Parking and Directions.
Will the XPLOR Store be open?
Yes! It will be open 10 am–9 pm.
Will Highmark SportsWorks® be open?
Yes! It will be open 10 am–5 pm during regular hours and 6 pm–9 pm for the event.
Will the USS Requin Submarine be open during the event?
The USS Requin Submarine will be only open from 10 am – 4:30 pm during regular hours, subject to availability and weather permitting.
What can I do between 5 pm–6 pm if I am visiting during the day?
The RiverView Café, SpacePlace on the first floor, and XPLOR Store will be open for visitors from 5 pm–6 pm.
