SPARK! A Campaign for Carnegie Science Center will increase the Science Center’s capacity as a hub of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and career awareness programs, essential to meeting the workforce needs of the future.
Now more than ever, businesses are counting on the next generation of workers to be scientifically literate. And now more than ever, those businesses are counting on the Science Center to help close the workforce “STEM gap” by inspiring the next generation of science and technology specialists.
To meet the demand for the Science Center’s unique STEM experiences, the SPARK! Campaign will support and expand programming in the Center for STEM Education and Career Development. And to accommodate that expanded programming, the campaign also includes plans for a new Science Pavilion featuring dedicated STEM Learning Labs where more of the region’s students and teachers will reach their full potential.
