Preschool Adventures

Looking for things to do for early learners in Pittsburgh? Science grows from curiosity! Carnegie Science Center’s Preschool Adventures are specifically designed around suitable themes for little scientists to cultivate a love for learning and to teach them basic science concepts.
All workshops are specifically designed for ages 3–5. To make the most of your child’s experience, they must be the appropriate age on the date the selected workshop begins.
Ready for Blastoff!

Train like an astronaut and get ready to blast off into outer space. Learn how astronauts get ready for their trips, what they pack for the journey, and make your own space suit.
Big, Big Feelings

A case of the giggles, tear-filled eyes, or stomping feet – we’ve all experienced big, big feelings! Together we’ll learn how to identify our feelings and practice strategies to calm our brains and bodies when we’re overwhelmed.
Creepy Crawly

Investigate insect parts and behavior through song and dance and make bug antennae to take home.
Bubble Science
