Content themes: Human Growth and Development, Genetics, Immune System Function

For Grades 5–8!

Educators use audiovisual materials to give students important, accurate, and age-appropriate information about human growth and development, puberty, reproduction, the development of new life, gender vs. sexuality, and function of the immune system. This program has been used by dozens of school districts to supplement their health and science education programs.

Time required: 90 minutes per session, including Q&A
Fee: $275 per session (including up to 30 students); $8 for each additional student.

Includes optional presentation: All About STIs: Exploring germ transmission and human immune response using HIV as a model for the transmission of sexually-transmitted infections.

Includes optional Brightspace access: School community members will be able to access Carnegie Science Center’s online learning platform Brightspace using specific learning modules to source additional content relevant to the presentation. Access to this self-directed learning option is free to anyone that books the main Wonders of You presentation component.
