Carnegie Science Center Summer Camps are specifically developed for the age group listed. To make the most of your campers’ experience, they must be the appropriate age on the date the selected camp begins. If necessary, Science Center staff will contact you to reschedule your camper.

Upon booking, an email receipt will be sent confirming your Summer Camp registration. An official welcome packet, including additional details and necessary forms, will be emailed in spring 2022.

Study the science of bricks! Construct 2D and 3D models and murals, design complex marble runs, and explore different styles of architecture. Discover simple machines, test a paper airplane launcher, and build a LEGO® wrecking ball!

Take a bite out of science in the summer camp that encourages you to play with your food! Learn about the science behind taste, discover how cooking alters your food, and uncover some unusual uses for items in your pantry. Please note, campers will taste various foods and creations in this camp.

How much code can we squeeze into one week? A LOT! Explore visual coding by designing games and animations with Scratch, use Color Codes to guide Ozobots through racetracks and mazes, and use JavaScript coding to invent, modify, and debug apps with Bitsbox.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to hone your powers of observation and master mental and physical challenges as you train to be a spy. Conduct experiments to detect poisonous substances, decipher top-secret codes, and test gadgets like night vision goggles and listening devices.

Experience firsthand all the latest technologies: 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, and other CNC machines. Learn the design software for both 2D and 3D machines and make daily projects to take home.
