Join the Mentors in the Making Program!

Are you a student passionate about STEM and eager to learn cutting-edge digital fabrication technologies? The Mentors in the Making program is your perfect opportunity!

What You’ll Experience:

  • Personalized Mentorship: Be paired with an experienced STEM professional who will guide you through the exciting world of digital fabrication.
  • Hands-on Learning: Dive into projects involving 3D printing, laser cutting, and electronics, with weekly sessions both in the Fab Lab and online.
  • Comprehensive Support: Receive all necessary materials, transportation, and a laptop to ensure you have everything you need for success.

Program Phases:

  1. Skill Building: Start with virtual sessions to design digital projects and earn certification on CNC machines during hands-on sessions.
  2. Community Impact: Use your new skills to collaborate on a capstone project aimed at making a positive difference in your community. This phase kicks off with a Human-Centered Design session to brainstorm impactful ideas.

Your Involvement:

  • Begins Oct. 22 and 23, 2024
  • Ends March 25 and 26, 2025
  • Meet every week from 6–8 pm!

Celebrate Your Success:

  • At the end of the program, showcase your project during our celebration event.
  • Keep your laptop to continue your journey in digital design and fabrication.
