It’s time to explore river science!
Discover the science of Pittsburgh’s iconic rivers with a weekend full of aquatic experiments! Turn river water into clean drinking water through chemistry. Journey through the water cycle as you make a cloud in a bottle. Go on a River BINGO scavenger hunt on the North Shore.
Free with admission, activities include:
- Learn fishing skills with Venture Outdoors. Cast a line in the Ohio River and try to reel in a big one! No license required. (Sat., July 16, 10:00 am–2:00 pm only)
- Learn about green infrastructure with a tour of our rain garden.
- Check the water quality of the Ohio River with experiments and scientific equipment.
