Full-Day Camps (9 am–4 pm)

Campers must bring a bagged lunch.

Carnegie Science Center Summer Camps are specifically developed for the age group listed. To make the most of your campers’ experience, they must be the appropriate age on the date the selected camp begins. If necessary, Science Center staff will contact you to reschedule your camper.

Upon booking, an email receipt will be sent confirming your Summer Camp registration. An official welcome packet, including additional details and necessary forms, will be emailed in spring 2022.

Rocket Maker Camp
Ages 15-18 (Grades 9–12)

Rocket Maker Camp

July 11–15

$365 Members/$395 Nonmembers (Includes technology fee)

Rocket science isn’t easy… but it sure is fun! Design and build your very own pressure-powered rockets and launch them at Carnegie Science Center. Using 3D printers and laser cutters you will need to overcome challenges considering payload, altitude, and more.

Digital fabrication is about more than just making cool stuff. In this camp, you will learn how teens around the world have used digital fabrication technology to make the world a better place, then brainstorm ways that you can do so in your community.  Use our digital fabrication technology to prototype your solution.
