About Julian Routh:
Julian Routh serves as the Western Pennsylvania Politics and Government Bureau Chief for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He’s a born-and-raised Pittsburgher whose lifelong dream to work for the city’s most storied newspaper evolved into four years of marquee coverage at the height of one of America’s busiest presidencies. At its peak, he served as the PG’s lead writer on the 2020 presidential race, reporting from one of the most important electoral territories in the United States. On normal days, he’s an integral part of the newspaper’s daily coverage — a record quantified by more than 1,200 stories and numerous awards, including bylined work in a package that won the Pulitzer Prize.
