Preschool Semesters
For ages 3–5 with an adult helper!
$80 Members/$90 Nonmembers (per child + adult helper)
Price includes 6 weeks of classes. General Admission is not included.
Looking for things to do with your early learners in Pittsburgh? Carnegie Science Center’s Preschool Semesters are specifically designed around suitable themes for little scientists to cultivate a love for learning and to teach them basic science concepts.
All workshops are specifically designed for ages 3–5. To make the most of your child’s experience, they must be the appropriate age on the date the selected workshop begins.
Science of Food
Thurs., Oct. 31–Thurs., Dec. 19
11 am–Noon
In this semester, little learners will explore food from its origins in nature to its transformation on our plates and its impact on the environment.
Weekly themes:
- Thurs., Oct. 31 – I Scream for Science
- Thurs., Nov. 7 – It’s Alive!
- Thurs., Nov. 14 – Food on the Farm
- Thurs., Dec. 5 – Eat the Rainbow
- Thurs., Dec. 12 – Composting – Trash to Treasure
- Thurs., Dec. 19 – Tasty Travels
