Week of the Young Child
April 3–7
11 am–2 pm
Free with general admission
Join us in the Little Learner Clubhouse on the fourth floor for a fun-filled week celebrating early learning and young children! Each day there will be dedicated hands-on activities allowing early learners to explore using their senses, participate in challenges, show off their creativity, and take home a souvenir from the day’s activities.
All Week: Buhl Planetarium is hosting Storytime Under the Stars from 11 am–12 pm. Books align with the daily themes.
Music Monday: Tune in for some fun! Explore the sounds of different instruments, sing along to your favorite tunes, and craft a wind instrument to take home!
Tasty Tuesday: Since we are closed to the public on Tuesdays, join us on one of the other days throughout the week to obtain a homemade ice cream kit. Get everything you need to celebrate Tasty Tuesday from the comfort of your own home! Ice cream kits are first-come-first serve throughout the week.
Work Together Wednesday: Do you have what it takes to collaborate towards a common goal? Try out different challenges together including a rover challenge, a cup-stacking challenge, and a packaging peanuts building challenge.
Artsy Thursday: Show off your colorful side by making your own crayons, and crafting faux stained-glass window clings.
Family Friday: Come celebrate families of all kinds, and create your very own recycled family tree.
