- Howmet Aerospace Foundation committed $1,800,000 to support Carnegie Science Center’s Mars: The Next Giant Leap and Flight Path to Career and Community Readiness programming.
- PNC Foundation committed $1,000,000 to support the Science Center’s Mars: The Giant Leap, Flight Path to Career and Community Readiness, and Northside Early Learners.
- Henry L. Hillman Foundation committed $500,000 toward the Science Center’s Mars: The Next Giant Leap.
- BNY Mellon Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania committed $236,000 to support the Science Center’s BNY Mellon Fab Lab.
- Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development awarded Carnegie Science Center a $200,000 COVID-19 ARPA Pandemic Response Grant to support education operating costs.
- FedEx made a gift of $50,000 for Founding Partner support of the Center for STEM Education and Career Development and Carnegie Science Awards.
- Duquesne Light Company made a gift of $50,000 to sponsor Duquesne Light Company Free Day (August 7).
- The Heinz Endowments awarded Carnegie Science Center a grant of $40,750 to support CSC’s Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center (COTRAIC) Hazelwood Early Learning partnership.
- Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission awarded Carnegie Science Center a grant of $40,000 to support operation costs.
- Green Mountain Energy Company made a gift of $30,000 to sponsor GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World.
- The Grable Foundation awarded Carnegie Science Center a $25,000 grant to support the 2022 Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Annual Conference, which will be hosted in Pittsburgh.
- The Department of Energy committed $20,000 to help fund the Energy Zone.
- The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh and the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh awarded Carnegie Science Center a combined $19,500 to support the 2022 Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair, 2022 SciTech Days, and the Works Theatre, Pop-Up Science, and Body Stage programs.
- Isaly’s committed $15,000 as presenting sponsor of Summer Camps and sponsor of 2023 Locomotion Weekend.
- The Franklin Institute made a gift of $12,500 to continue Science in the Summer.
- Kennametal, Inc. made a gift of $12,500 as an Award Sponsor of the 2022 Carnegie Science Awards, presented at the Geek Out Gala.
- Broadcom Foundation made a gift of $10,000 to support the Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair at Carnegie Science Center.
- Eat’n Park made a gift of $10,000 to sponsor GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World.
- DICK’S Sporting Goods made a gift of $10,000 to sponsor Highmark SportsWorks® Real Time Hockey exhibit.
- Dollar Bank made a gift of $10,000 to sponsor Highmark SportsWorks® Olympic Sprint exhibit.

- In May, Singer, Songwriter, and Actor Huey Lewis visited the Science Center to kick off the new movie in The Rangos Giant Cinema, Wings Over Water. Huey’s Pittsburgh visit led to media roundups in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
