SciTech is a special kind of field trip that features the growth areas of Pittsburgh: biotech & health, nanotechnology & advanced materials/processes, information technology & robotics, and eco tech (think environment & energy). It also connects visitors with leading scientists and technologists in a fun, dynamic atmosphere.
Register middle and high school students for cutting-edge workshops and featured programs, and explore interactive exhibits from leading STEM companies and higher education organizations.
Inspire your students to explore a career in engineering as they engage in hands-on activities, interact with professionals in the field, and check out presentations at more than 40 event tables. On Thursday and Friday, high school students are invited to Career Café, a fast-paced introduction to engineering careers in an informal setting. They can check out dazzling demos, enjoy café-style beverages, and chat with industry professionals. Limited capacity. Preregistration is required.
Choose your own STEM Adventure with our brand-new field trip opportunity for elementary school students! Featuring dozens of interactive experiences designed specifically for grades 1–5 and led by Carnegie Science Center staff and professionals from local universities and companies, students can explore STEM learning in a whole new way through special live demonstrations, Buhl Planetarium shows, and the many activities on all four floors of the Science Center.
