  • Blast off with the Saturn V rocket, marvel at the Moon from orbit, and travel to the lunar surface into a new show presented in Buhl Planetarium: Fly Me to the Moon! Discover the scientists and engineers, including Pittsburghers, who made the moonshot a reality.
  • Explore the wonders of our evolving universe in a special presentation by Paul Sutter, Cosmological Researcher and Community Outreach Coordinator at the Department of Astronomy, Ohio State University.
  • Learn about Pittsburgh’s contributions to the Apollo program in a special presentation by Anne Madarasz, Director of the Curatorial Division and Chief Historian at the Heinz History Center.
  • Sample some Tang flash-frozen in liquid nitrogen.
  • Visit PointView Hall— “Tranquility Base”—for an evening of discovery. Stargaze through telescopes, chat with astronomy experts, and explore lunar science demonstrations.
  • Take home a commemorative “moonshot” glass as a souvenir of the event.
