WeatherQuest is a day of all-inclusive programming aimed at teaching eligible content themes through dynamic science experiences for grades 3-8. Students will explore the fascinating science of weather, along with weather-related career opportunities in research, industry, and media.

Registration to WeatherQuest includes:

  • An exciting presentation from a WTAE TV meteorologist, featuring demonstrations from Carnegie Science Center's Science on the Road team.
  • A screening of the Omnimax film Extreme Weather. The National Geographic film takes audiences to the frontlines of weather science and the work being done by explorers and climate scientists.
  • Weather-themed activities presented in small groups sessions.

STEM themes at WeatherQuest include: Weather conditions and their measurements, Earth's water systems, atmospheric conditions affecting regional weather, solar system relationships, and human impact on Earth's resources.
