Student Energy Summit

November 30 – December 1, 2017

This year’s theme is "Innovations in Energy." Middle and high school students engage in hands-on activities featuring new products and applications associated with renewable and non-renewable energy to solve our everyday energy challenges. Students explore improvements in energy production in solar, wind, coal, and natural gas. Students also gain first-hand knowledge of energy-related careers through interactions with professionals in these fields.

Student Energy Summit topics include:

  • Benefits, issues, and career opportunities associated with current power production and distribution
  • New products, innovations, and applications associated with solar, wind, coal, and natural gas
  • Renewable and non-renewable energy sources
  • Energy consumption and costs
  • Advances in scientific knowledge
